Aberdeen Crew gets acquainted with the sister city

07.04.2018

Having arrived late at night from their flight to Munich and the transfer to Regensburg, the visitors from Scotland had to get up early in order to be on time for the reception by Mayor Gertrud Maltz-Schwarzfischer, who welcomed the guests from the first sister city Aberdeen. All dressed in the same hooded sweatshirts made especially for the occasion of the one-week training camp in Regensburg, the 46 rowers and their coaches took off in two groups to explore the city with guides provided by the city.

In the afternoon, they were eager to test the waters of the Danube in boats they had brought all the way from Aberdeen. Tomorrow the guests of the Regensburg Rowing Club will participate in the "Anrudern", the official opening of the rowing season 2018.
